Hi,
I have a Surface Pro and Elements 14. Since the Fall Creators Update, the pen does not work to draw in Photoshop. It instead acts as a mouse for panning, but now drawing. If I double-click and keep it pressed to the screen I can draw a line, but obviously that's not a viable option in the long-term. I've Googled a bit and it seems it's an issue with how they changed what the pen does with regards to scrolling, or something.
Has anyone else got this issue? Has anyone solved it? Microsoft suggest reinstalling the pen drivers, which I've done, and no change.
Very irritating that I've specifically upgraded to the new pen for better drawing functionality and I can't use it
Also, the Surface is issued by my employer, so it's not an option to roll back the Windows update, because apparently it's got security updates (or something).
Hello, the correct fix is to apply another Microsoft update that cures the problems created by a previous one: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/unexpected-panning-or-scrolling-in-some-apps-with/e8db3f51-91db-4a99-ba24-572d59686250?tm=1523650087221

I don't have a solution. This is definitely an Adobe Photoshop problem.
Pen drags and scrolls image instead of drawing. Happens on BOTH of my PCs.
Surface Pro and Surface Studio.
Each has its own pen. Works fine with other program on both PC's such as Sketchbook, Art Rage,
Latest Microsoft software and Photoshop installed.
Everything was working fine until a few days ago. There were updates for both windows and adobe. So which is it.
More important Adobe please fix this as its your program that is broken.

Hey, I dont know if it is like that with the program you are using , but I had similar bug with photoshop and someone helped me find a solution. Check my thread maybe it will work for you. Surface Pro pen does panning when stroke is vertical and draws when the stroke is horizontal.
