After moving images in the Elements organizer, I can no longer open image files outside of elements. I have Elements 2023 installed on a Windows 10 computer

I'm sorry to say this looks like a hard disk problem.  See this Microsoft Windows Forum discussion.

It looks to be a Windows update that I messed up. Windows Photo is the problem. There are several Youtube videos that deal with this problem. From what I understand, it's been around for years. Luckily, the JPEG/PNG files are unharmed.
