Today when I opened my Photoshop Elements software I got a mwessage that the media catalog is missing? I am not sure how this suddenly happened? The error message is asking me to setup a new catalog but I am afraid all of my photos/albums/folders will be lost. I tried a system search for the catalog but was unable to find anything. Can you tell me the officail name of the catalog to search on?

What OS are you using?

The file you should be looking for is named catalog.pse18db.  If you are using Windows, make sure that file name extensions are viewable.  The default folder location for the file is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog.

If you find the file, double-click on it and the catalog should open in the Organizer.
