aligning layers in Elements 2020

Is it possible to align layers in the Expert mode?  I teach classes with both Elements and Photoshop CC particpants.  Can Elements do this without using the guided mode?

Am I missing something here?   Layers can be aligned in Expert mode with the Move tool.

I assumed Mary Lou meant align the content of layers as in Photoshop CC and similar to Photomerge, e.g. to avoid ghosting.
