Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020, Windows 10

File > Automation tools is not avaiable, you can't click.

Also, I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 version 18.0 and I can't update because that option (Help > Updates) is also not avaiable.

What Can I do ?

Thanks!

Automation tools is normally only available if you have installed plug-ins.

If updates are grayed out it usually means your software is completely up to date. The latest version is v.20200105.m.139301

You can check from the Editor menu:

Hi, thanks for answering !

Where can I download the automation plugins ?

I want to process images in bulk, I mean, same actions for a full of images folder.

What plugin is that ? Where to get it ?

Also my PSE version 18.0, and I can't upgrade it.

Weird right ?

I'll try to explain in other words. There are no 'automation plugins'. There are various plugins of all kinds which are accessible to PSE via the automation command.

What plugin is that ? Where to get it ?

For instance, one of those plugins, Elements+, makes a number of commands only available in the full Photoshop available to PSE; it also allows you to create scripts for batch functions.

https://elementsplus.net/

There are also a number of free softwares which offer batch commands:

- Faststone Viewer and Faststone resizer

- Irfanview

- Xnview

If you can describe what kind of batch edit you are after, other users in this forum will help you with what is available in the editor (as suggested by 99jon, or in the export command of the organnizer.

Also my PSE version 18.0, and I can't upgrade it.

Weird right ?

Photoshop Elements 2020 is version 18.0 and you are up do date, as already explained. Adobe marketing.

Hi, thank you for you answer.

Very helpfull !

Now I have  things clearer.

<------------------->

What I wan´t to do is:

From this image

A.jpg

Create a new one like this:

B.jpg

And repeat the process many times.

Not all images have the same size or aspect ratio.

But I think I can build different process for each aspect ratio.

Thanks for your answers!

You can do some bulk options and use separate source and destination folders. Go to the Editor menu:

File >> Process Multiple Files

Hi, yeah, thank you for that 😃

But that option only allow to resize, change file name  or format.

Wat I want to do is

1. resize

2. Add a background layer

3. Add other layer with standard info like phone number or website URL

4. Save with same name + 'Processed'

I have a folder with 400-450 images. Can't do it manually.
