Cannot save my catalog

I am using Photoshop Elements 2021 on my brand new HP Envy Laptop and the Organizer pushes a dialog box to save my catalog. When I answer with Yes it shows a message box with the text "Loading" and nothing more happens, even after many hours waiting. The task is still using CPU and GPU Power. The same behaviour when I try to create a dia Show, loading and nothin else happens. I already updated my graphics driver NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti and tried the same with disabling the Nvidia graphic card. Same result - It is still not working.

Can anyone help me please?

Are you talking about the Auto Backup of Catalog Structre with the following message?

If so, it is only backing up the catalog folder which doesn't take very long.  Look in the following location and see if you have any new folders:

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\_AutoBackup_

 

If this is not what you are talking about, please provide a screenshot of the message box.

 

How large is your catalog?  Try turning off all media analysis and see if that makes any difference.
