catalog reconnect issue in elements 11

I foolishly moved the photo files from the C drive (lack of space) outside of Elemnets. to D with a a copy in E.  I am having trouble re-connecting the files now. It is still looking in C and doesn't seem to search the other drives.I am therefore inclined to remove elements from the computer and re instal, let it find files and store by year/month and re name where appropriate. Has anyone gort a more efficient method?

 

I suppose I could copy the files back to C temporarily then move?

Yes, that's the best solution.

While you are at it, do a full backup on an external drive.

To move a folder tree, never do it outside of the organizer.

Either move a folder tree by drag and drop in the left folders panel in tree mode,

or do a full backup and restore:
