I have all of my photos on external drive A.  I want to back up a catolog to external drive B & C.  will htat work???

Debbie,

Do you realize that a backup from the organizer is a special folder which contains everything to be able to restore both your catalog and the media files the catalog points to? That folder is not a copy, you can only use it to restore where you want.

You create a backup on an external drive X and from that backup folder, you can restore where you want, on several other drives (B, C...) if you want.

If what you want is to 'sync' your media files tree from one computer to one or several drives, that's another question.
