I have an old version of Photoshop elements (12), which I have used for many years. As I know change my computer I also bought the new version of Photoshop Elemenst (2020). When I import my photo files from my catalogs, all the surrounding information got lost (tags, Information text, and grades are lost.

What can I do?

Hi,

You need to 'convert' your PSE 12 catalog to latest version to retain all information.

You can read about catalog conversion at: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/elements-organizer/using/creating-editing-catalogs.html#use_convert_a_cat...

Please let me know if you face any issue while converting the catalog.

Thanks!

When getting a new computer it is best to use Backup and Restore from the Organizer menu.

A backup will copy all files and the catalog information. So there is no need to import again on the new computer. Simply use restore.
