I just purchased Elements 2020 and the contact sheet and picture package options are disabled. How do I get them to work?

However ...

I purchased Elements 2020 a few days ago, and used it (in the Expert environment, on a Mac) to create contact sheets yesterday — but today it refuses, giving me an "Operation could not be completed; The file or directory could not be found" message. Repeatedly. What on earth? Anyone having a similar experience, or with suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, one bit of further info to add to my previous post ...

After that first message, Elements 2020 produces a second one, saying

"Could not complete the Contact Sheet II command because of a program error."

Could the software have corrupted overnight?

If you go to

(user) Library\Preferences\Adobe\Plugins\Adobe Contact Sheet II PSE12\Elements

and delete the

Adobe Contact Sheet PSE12 Prefs

hopefully you should be able to use the Contact Sheet II plugin again.

To see your user Library, in the Finder Go menu press the Option key and then you should see Library listed on the Go menu.

I'm sorry i gave you the wrong location to look.

It should be

(user) Library/Preferences/Adobe/Elements/18.0/Adobe Contact Sheet II

and delete the

Adobe Contact Sheet Prefs

Thanks for trying again, Jeff, but I'm not finding any Adobe subfolder in Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences ... there are several loose Adobe files in Preferences (all their filename begin "com.Adobe."), but none relating to Contact Sheet II.

I'm running Elements 2020 on Mojave ... could it be hiding somewhere else? Have been searching elsewhere on the hard drive for something answering your description, but not finding anything relating to Contact Sheet II.

Any further suggestions welcome ...

LATEST
Hi again, Jeff -

I was looking in the wrong Library folder, as Phinny pointed out in this thread. So I used the Option key to access the user library in the Go pulldown window (something you suggested in an earlier thread to someone else) — and there it was, right where you said.  And Contact Sheet II came back to life! (Hopefully permanently.)

Thanks so much!
