I want to create a pdf of an album with the pictures in order and including their captions. I spent alot of time creating these albums and, now, in later versions of Elements, it appears to me that this has been de-featured. Saving in this way provides a small file size to share with others. Please help

It sounds like you're asking about Photoshop Elements, so I've moved your question to that forum.

What has changed relative to PDF format in recent versions:
- The organizer does no longer recognize and manage normal (Illustrator) pdf format, only Photoshop PDF format, such as the one used when you save as PDF in the editor. The editor can still open and convert normal pdf files.
- The slideshow options no longer provide the pdf format, only the MP4 video format.
- The 'Share' dialog offers a way to produce small sized pdf slideshows. However, you can't display the captions.
So, other than using the Share option, you always can use any of the free virtual pdf printers available for your OS to save a batch of selected files into a multipage pdf file. I do use the Microsoft Print to pdf for that purpose. No way either to include captions as you can do in the Full view (F11) slideshow with music in the organizer.
You can always create organizer albums (sort of playlists in your custom sort order), set the order to 'Album order', select the files of the albums and 'Print' them to your virtual printer.
