Unlikely. Number 13 is considered an unlucky number for Americans so we

are not likely to get version 13. However, we should get version 14

sometimes in the third week of September 2014.

I think Adobe should use the year 2014, and call it Elements 14 and next year have Elements 15. Just my 2 cents on this.

Both the photoshop and illustrator side had version 13's

Myself I am looking for 13 as I don't want to go to 12 just to have it obsoleted by 13 in a few weeks.

Adobe has had free upgrades in the past if you purchased the software within a certain timeframe before the release but it's probably best to just wait and avoid the hassle of using their customer service to pull it out from them. If you're waiting for 13 then just download the free 30-day trial for version 12 and use that until the release.

I am currently running 11.  A free upgrade from 10 which they gave photoshop.com subscribers when they killed photoshop.com.  Considered going to 12 because it has better adoberevel support than 11, but am hoping that 13 has ever better adoberevel support (rumored) and is finally 64-bit.

Yes they still list free upgrades, but in the past it was limited to a specific period before the new release, usually after the official announcement .

It appears Photoshop Elements 13 is set to be released on September 23, 2014 (here's the source). Let's hope it's not subscription-only like CC!

Amazon suggests the release is sometime today. Not sure if that means Central European Time or Pacific Time.

But Amazon UK has release date on 25th.

Looks like Photoshop Elements 14 is now rumored to be released on September 22, 2015.

I agree with Mrophoto that it would be nice to have Elements versions match the release years, especially since it's on an annual release cycle (out at almost the exact same time every year).
