elements 11 editor will not open now

elements 11 editor refuses to open but the organiser is ok . should I reinstall ?

I have the same problem with my elements 12

beware you may get an offer of help from adobe and then they keeping asking
if you want to upgrade and they offer to do it for 100 dollars .and they
say you have a badge or something totally juvenile stuff .They say using 11
will cause problems vague hints to get you to buy .

Does it open directly from the .exe file in Program Files?

If so, create a new shorcut on the desktop.
