Elements 11

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I've used it for years with no problems. I always use it in 'Expert' mode. The other day when I opened it, it was in 'Quick' mode for no reason. I didn't change anything. So I moved it back to 'Expert'. Now, I can only view one image at a time (in 'New Window' mode?). I've tried everything I can think of to revert it back to view multiple images, but nothing worked. VERY frustrated!

Have a look in Edit menu>prefereces>general. Is "Allow Floating Documents in Full Edit Mode" checked??
