Elements 12 Organizer / Editor not saving version stacks

Adobe Elements Organizer / Editor 12

Mac:

OS El Capitan

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013)

2.9 GHz Intel Core i5

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

 Ive been using this program for several years and all of a sudden it is not saving my edited pics as version stacks. It is saving them to the HD, but not visible as a version in the orginizer. I am double checking to ensure the Save as Version Stack is selected. 

Any advice on how to fix this issue?

Try the menu View >> Details (shortcut ctrl D on Windows) to switch from the 'adaptative view' without stack icons nor file names/dates to the good old 'detail view'.
