Elements 14 Organizer made duplicates?

I've never really used the Organizer before and decided to try. I had recently done my own restructuring of folders in My Photos but the Organizer showed the old structure. I thought I was updating that structure and it did - but it also created a TON of JSON files and duplicates of my all my photos on my E Drive. Each photo is just a sequence of numbers that look like: B0035546

How on earth do I get rid of all those files?  If I delete them will it harm the original photos in My Pictures folders?

HELP!

The files that have a sequence with a B prefix are probably from a backup copy of your catalog.  It's unclear from your post whether you want to remove the duplicates from your catalog or from your hard drive.

The Organizer's catalog is merely a database of files stored on your hard drive.  You can delete photos from the catalog without deleting them from the hard drive.

Please explain in a little more detail what you have done and what you want to do.

.json files contain information about your files and they are used by the catalog database for things such as face recognition.
