I just purchased Elements (Photoshop/Premiere) 2020.

I DID NOT PURCHASE THE UPGRADE.

I already have the 2019 versions installed on my PC and I want to know if I should uninstall 2019 before installing 2020?

Thanks.

The option is yours.  Both programs are independent of each other and can exist safely on the same machine.  I recommend that you install 2020 first and make sure everything is working (and your catalogs properly converted) before uninstalling 2019.

BTW, you should have taken advantage of the upgrade price.  You still receive the same program.

Price is an advantage but there are downsides:

  1. If you ever want to sell 2020, you must also include 2019 in the sale since they're on the same license.
  2. To reinstall 2020, since it's an upgrade serial number, you will always need your 2019 serial number as well. Many people lose that or don't know it's needed for future reinstalls.
