Using Elements 2020, I have a picutre with some skin I want to smooth, but when I click the "Smooth Skin" tool under enhance, it says "No faces found in the selected photo"

What if I want to smooth skin and there is not a face in the photo?

You would need to do it manually in the Expert workspace.

Duplicate your layer (ctrl+j)

Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur

You can also add a layer mask to tweak the effect or change the layer opacity.

Hi,

Smooth Skin feature works only for images having faces. You can check out below link to know more about Smooth Skin feature.

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop-elements/using/smoothen-skin.html

Please share the image if the face is present in an image and you are getting "No face found in the selected photo" message.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any further queries. I will be happy to help.

Thanks

Shaileja
