I'm new to the Adobe family. After reading some reviews about its main features, last month I finally decided to buy the Elements products (Organizer, Photoshop and Premiere). Howerver, I'm very disapointed with the software performance, it's extremely slow. It takes almost 1 minute to open the software, and over 30 seconds to open a pnoto. So, I'm wondering if this is normal, or if there is something wrong with my system. The experience has been so frustrating that I regret buying the software. I can't work with it. I have search on-line, but most guidance is for users that have recently upgrade to the latest version and have some kind of "legacy" problem.
I'm running a Mac OS X (10.15.4), and Elements Organizaer 2020 (version 18), Photoshop Elements 2020 (version 18) and Premiere Elements 2020 (version 18).

I know nothing about Macs. But take a look at this thread which discusses why you may be experiencing some slow performance and what you can do about it.

Thanks Greg!
Yes, my photo library is pretty big (about 250 GB).
I checked, and the Media Analysis feature is not running (there are no checked boxes under "People View Settings" (photos or videos) neither under "Analysis Options"(photos, videos, smart tags, and auto creations).

Did you turn them off? In Windows, they are on by default.
