I need some answers before purchasing Elements 2020.

1) My processor does not have SSE2 support, it has AVX, will that work?

2) Is the product available on a CD?

3) Will I be able to use it when not connected to the internet?

4) Can I downlosd the user guide before purchase?

I have been using Elements 1 for many years.

1.  The specs suggest that SSE2 support is required.

2.  The program is available on DVD.

3.  Yes, but access to the internet is required for activation.

4.  You can find the online user guide here.

You can download a free trial of the program here to see whether the program will in fact work with your processor. If internet access is a problem for you, let us know what processor and OS you are using, and I will see if I can get a specific answer for you.

Greg,
Thank you for your prompt response.
My processor is an Intel Core i5 3230M
I am running Windows 10.
It has advance vector extensions AVX instead of SSE2.
I do not want to download the program for tryout unless I am pretty sure it will not corrupt my machine.
If you can get a solid answer re SSE2 that would be great.

I don't see how installing the program would corrupt your machine. Adobe will probably tell me that your processor is "not supported".  But that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work. My pure guess is that some features may not work for you, but I have no idea what those may be.

In any event, I will make some inquiries, but don't expect a response for a few days.

The answer I have received from Adobe is that you should install the free trial.  Technically, your computer does not meet the system requirements but it may nevertheless work for you.
