Elements upgrade

I have just upgraded PS and Premiere Elements 14 to 2021.  I was left with both versions, so deleted 14.  Should I have deactivated 14 first before installing 2021?

Unless you wish to reinstall this old version, I would leave well enough alone. Each version of the software is independent.

Did you back up the organizer?

Thanks.  Yes I did back up the organiser and 2021 is working correctly and I can also now edit my latest camera raw files. 🙂
