Elements window too deep

All of a sudden the window of Photoshop Elements extends right down below the bottom of my screen, and I can't get at the useful tools that used to be at the bottom of the window. I'm using Elements 15 on an iMac with Mojave 10.14.6.

Click on the Green Maximize button to fit photoshop elements to your screen.

Wow! Instant fix. In many years of Mac-using I've never clicked that button before.
