Exporting Caption and Tags of Video files from Photoshop Elements

Has anyone found a way to export from Photoshop Elements (I now have 2020) the caption and tags of video files. Unlike stills there is nowhere in metadata for them so neither 'write metadata to files' nor simply 'export as new files' keeps the caption or tag with the video. Of course one can backup the catalog containing the videos but then the person to whom you may want to pass the data must have a current or newer copy of Elements to be able to restore the catalog and so get access to the captions/tags.

If this turns into a feature request then what I would like to see is the ability to export a .csv containing the video filename and corresponding caption and tags. If the file location (as a hyperlink?) could also be  a column then even better!

Thank you

The issue is that the format of video files does not allow 'write metadata to files'. Videos formats standards are what they are, no change in Adobe's software will change that. So, your tagging is saved in catalogs, in PSE, Lightroom or any catalog-based third party asset management tool.

Your suggestion to extract exif and caption data from the catalog reminds me of what was offered by John R Ellis in his psedbtool:

http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/#_Extracting_Catalog_Contents

That worked not only for videos, but unfortunately, the tool was no longer updated after PSE8.

Note:

Same question for Bridge suggested in the suggestions on the right of this discussion:
