I'm running PSE 2020 with the Elements + plug-in.  Is there a shortcut (or can I develop one) to flip an image horizontally?  I thought adding Elements + would give this functionality but it does not appear to do so.

From the help file:

https://elementsplus.net/help/en/shortcutsplus.htm

Did you follow the video describing how to assign a shortcut?

I have not tested it myself with 'flip and image horizontally', but that seems possible.

Just curious: why do you need such a shorcut frequently?

It works!  The link you posted has a further link at the bottom to a video explaining the mechanics of setting up shortcuts.  The action I wanted (flip horizontally) was in the list of existing actions but there was no Shortcut Key assigned to it.  I assigned a key and the shortcut works.  Many thanks!

AFAIK, there is no keyboard shortcut for flipping an image horizontally.  Nor does Elements provide any support for customized keyboard shortcuts.  I don't know about the Elements + plug-in.

I'm scanning over 10,000 35mm negatives taken over the past 50 years in order to put the images into a digital form that can be duplicated for family members.  I use PSE to adjust the images for color, contrast, and so forth.  The short answer is that the scanning process results in images that are reversed horizontally.  The longer answer is the negatives are curled in the short dimension due to age and they must be scanned with the bow facing up, resulting in a reversed image.  Placing the negatives in the normal attitude (emulsion up, bow down) causes the negatives to touch the glass surface of the scanner and they develop Newton Rings that mar the images.  Probably more than you wanted to know ...

No, I was not aware of the link you provided but will check it out.  Thanks.
