font menu is not appearing in tool bar when I use TEXT function

I use elements to modify the text on a psd image - it's a recurring task. Until recently a Text menu has popped up in bottom RH corner of the screen  - this has stopped happening. I can't find anything that suggests this is a function I've accidently switched off - and ideas why this function should suddenly stop working. I don't want to reinstall or upgrade because last time I did this it was a nightmare.

A simple reset will often do the trick. Go to this link and select the T tool. Also for an existing PSD, ensure you have the text layer selected in the layers panel.

I couldn't spot the reset tool on my elements 14 - but for some completely
bizarre reason when i opened it up to look for it it had sorted itself out
- I'm at a loss - but thanks for the info!
