gif in photoshop elements 2018

hi all new here

i have a question, i just installed photoshop elements 2018, i what to make a gif file and cannt find the timeline or animation tabs.

is it even possible to make gif file in elements ( the store where i got it from said that it was possible)?

Creating a GIF animation in Elements is sort-of possible with this method:

But to be honest, going any further than extremely basic animation is a grueling task in Elements, because it doesn't have a proper timeline. Yes, unfortunately you are correct: Elements does not have a timeline, or any animation tools.

Perhaps consider Krita, which is free and open source, and sports a very nice frame-based timeline. www.krita.org
