How do I do this?

Use the menu File >> Process multiple files to batch rename a series of files.
- either the files opened in the photo bin

- or all the files in a folder

Play with the options in the dialog, you can insert a date template in the resulting file name.

Sorry, it's not an option of the organizer, it's in the File menu of the Editor.

The organizer has only the ability to create a subfolders structure based on dates when importing.

What you want is an option of the downloader module (when you 'Import' from camera or card reader).

Be sure to click on the 'advanced' button on the bottom to get the full options of the downloader. You can choose your date template to rename files at import time.
