The size of the fonts and the bars in the Home screen of  Photoshop Elements 2019 have become very large. This happened when I was trying to change some settings, but I don't know anymore what I was doing exactly. How can I restore them to the original size?

On a windows machine, right click on the computer's desktop and go to Display settings. Perhaps you changed something there.

Thank you for your reply. I use Windows 10, but the problem of the very large fonts and bars only occurs in Photoshop Elements. In all other programs that I use the display is normal.

I don't have PSEv.19.

Go to Edit>preferences. On one of the preference tabs there may well be a setting related to this issue.

Perhaps someone with PSEv.19 will add to this thread.

Thank you for your suggestion. I solved the problem with Edit > Preferences
> Displays & Cursors. There you can set the user interface scaling to 100%,
200% or Auto. In addition to this, I have a question for Adobe. Is it
possible to add some intermediate scalings, for example 125% and 150%? This
is because on my screen (2560 x 1440 dpi) the toolbar, for instance, is
hardly visible at 100%, but only partially visible at 200%. Unfortunately,
this interface scaling cannot be changed with Windows Start > Settings >
System > Display > Scale & Layout (it does not respond to it, in contrast
to panels as for example File > Open).
