I am unable to change the scanning resolution to any other value other than the 300dpi default

High res scanning issue

I have photoelements 12, 14 and 2020 and none of them will allow me to change the resolution to a higher value so I can scan at 1200 Etc.  It used to work but now doesn't

What happens when you try to change the dpi value via the software that came with the scanner?
