Imported files from camera to windows folder are in incorrect order.

I know that this topic was handled back in April 2013 but I have a similar problem now and I can't find a solution.

I copy my image files from my Nikon D500 using a simple windows copy. I then post them into a separate windows folder copy.

I then sort them by Type ( jpg & NEF ) and move the NEF files to a duplicate folder.

The files are not in corrected sequential order, some of them are not even taken on the same day.

I then run a slide show through Windows photo viewer and delete all the obvious duds.

I then import the balance into Organizer and compare them in View...Full Screen with a split view to compare similar files...again deleting the discards from the catalogue and hard drive.

Not having the files i sequence makes it hard to compare consecutive images.

Anyone got a quick fix?
