Is it possible to run PSE 5.0 on a MacBook Air

Bit of a long shot - I've just found my old copy of PSE (c 2007) that I originally ran on Windows. I now have a MacBook Air and wondering if it's possible to run it somehow, no disc drive... And is 5.0 even worth using anymore - I imagine there have been heaps of updates since, but I only need it for very basic editing, so would rather not have to upgrade! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Photoshop elements 5 was windows only, so it won't work on a mac.

On the mac side, adobe skipped versions 5 and 7 because of various mac issues like the switch from PowerPC to Intel processors, for example.

It would be best to get the current photoshop elements 2019 version for your new mac.

Thanks Jeff. Looks like I'll be doing that. RIP 5.0!
