Lasso Tools will not allow delete PSE 19

Hello

Sometimes I find the lasso tools will not allow deletions of the area selected.

I have tried closing and opening  PSE19

I have tried using the various lasso tools

I have tried resetting the tool

I select an area and it just will not delete.

Usually this is after some work has taken place on the image.

Any ideas please@

When using the lasso tool or the magnetic lasso tool, it is necessary to make the section of an object in its entirety. Once the selection is complete, you should see a moving outline ("marching ants") surrounding the periphery. At this point hit Delete on the keyboard.

I was aware of the selection method, Perhaps I was not clearing a previous selection which was off screen at the time.

The problem seems to have disappeared now.
