That depends on what you mean by "work".  As you likely are aware, the map service that was available in earlier version is no longer available for use because of a decision by the service provider (Google).  Elements 2020 has a new and different map service provider.  Those that have previously tagged their files with Places tags have run into some inconsistencies and limitations with the new service.  You can try it out for yourself by downloading a free trial of Elements 2020 here.

I have Elements 2021 and maps do not work there, either!

I have installed Elements 2020 on my new iMac OS 12.2  and get the message "These are uncharted waters" instead of the map feature. On my old iMac OS 11.6.2 the map feature works fine. Are there any ideas how to solve this problem?

Same problem here with Places tab bringing up "uncharted waters" page.  I have not moved to a new machine, just catching up with cataloging a bunch of pix, and no map/location.

Anybody solve this?

Unfortunatly, the "solution" for me was to pay yet more to upgrade to 2022.
