Utilising Elements 10 when opening the Elements Organizer all photos display a missing file icon. Having read an explanation  as supplied in a document headed " Troubleshooting catalog issues " and following directions I cannot seem to resolve the problem. Would appreciate any advice on how to correct.

Can you give us a screenshot of what you call a missing file icon.  Presumably the Organizer was working properly before you ran into this snag.  What has happened to your computer in the meantime?  What OS are you running?  What solutions have you tried that failed?

Greg,

Thankyou for replying so quickly. OS is Windows 10. Solutions tried are nil except for following trobleshooting advice. Computer has NOT  encountered any problems. As my knowledge in relation to performing a screen shot is rather limited I advise that the icon is identified as ?. Trust this helps

What happens if you double-click on a missing file icon?  Does a dialog come up asking you to reconnect the file?

In general, what this means is that you have deleted or moved a file from its original location, using File Explorer rather than using the Organizer.  Is that possibly what occurred?  If so, give us the details of what you did.

If ALL of the files are missing, then where are the files actually located?  Are they on an external drive and the external drive has been disconnected or the drive letter changed?

How many files are you talking about? Dozens, hundreds, thousands?
