I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0. Some of my photos come up in folders and I do not want them that way. How can I get them to appear as thumbnails and stay that way? Thank you!!

Photos not in folders? So where? In the Cloud, in your camera, in photo cards?
Thumbnails: speaking of Elements, thumbnails are very small copies of your files (max 360 x 240 pixels) which are stored in your catalog just to browse and find your images easily. No real photo files are saved in catalogs nor "in the organizer". Just links to the real location on real folders.
By the way, it would be easy to keep only thumbnails after deleting the photo files in the folders from the explorer or finder... but that would only show you what you have just destroyed...
My guess is that you are asking because you are short of disk space. Could give more details if that is so?

Let me start over and explain it differently. When I bring some of my photos up, they show as folders with some photos in each folder, but I can only really see the top picture and cannot tell what other photos are included in each folder. At this time, the photos in each folder are not related to each other. What I want is for my photos to come up as each photo separately. Then I could see all my photos and I could create folders based on subject matter. I hope this makes more sense. I just want all my photos out of the current folders so I can see them all separately and then I can create folders that make sense. Thank you so much for responding to my question.
