Have just moved all my photos from hard drive to new SSD, and organizer in elements 2020 can't find them. How do I tell organizer the photos have all moved.

Is there a simple way or do I have to uninstall photoshop and re install.

Moving files outside of the organizer always makes the links in the catalog to be false. That's not new, it's the golden rule since the first versions of the organizer. No difference between moving files from the Explorer and copying files after installing a SSD. The 'reconnect' command in the organizer rarely works without a lot of manual reconnections, so it's good to know the recommended ways to move both the media files and the catalog (with the links).

- the backup and restore method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html

- Moving folder tree(s) from one drive to another from the left folders panel by drag and drop. (after a full backup for safety). The catalog folder is updated and you can copy it and paste it later either anywhere (in 'custom' location) or in the default location on the SSD drive.

The second solution makes sense if you want to store your library to an available internal or external drive.

Generally, it's possible to recover the contents of the original drive and to find the catalog folder. The problem is that the links in the catalogs will be false anyway.

The secret is to make regular organizer backups, and necessarily when you want to move to another computer or drive.
