Can you please  try clearing your preferences once.

To do so, keep Cmd + Shift + Option keys pressed while launching Editor.

A dialog will pop up asking to delete settings file, say Yes.

Let us know if issue still persists.

Thanks,

Anwesha

I've had this same problem.  I followed your instructions and seemed to have fixed the problem, but only for 1 day.  Now it is doing it again.  I repeated the steps but it still crashes.  I'm using the trial version of PSE 18 on mac os High Sierra.

I've been having the same issue and clearing my preferences didn't work, is there anything else I could do?

I"ve still got the same problem even after doing the above

. I have it on my Element 15 and Lightroom 4, both of which are 64-bit compatible . I trashed my element 10 since that was only 32-bit.

Please help.

I recently upgraded to High Sierra, installed 16GB memory, dumping files to increase room but I don't think that is the problem anymore.
