I've got a photo with two faces. I'd like to open the closed eyes of one person, but
photoshop elements 18 says: "No faces found" .
What can be the reason?

Try making a selection of the face first.
Sorry that you're facing trouble with the Open closed eyes feature with Photoshop Elements 2018. Let us help make it right.
Could you please take a look at this article Troubleshoot Open Closed Eyes feature issues and let us know if that helps?
Just a reminder, the Adobe Forums are transitioning to a new community experience soon. New threads and replies posts to the forums between August 22nd and September 9th will likely be lost, but we’re here to help.
I had already cut out the face with the closed eyes - no change.
I also straightened the face (had read the troubleshooting tips before). As you see, it is not cropped or covered, and it
is bright, too. Making it brighter doesn't help.
I have the same issue, this with one face out of five; the program selects four, doesn't select one, and that one is plenty bright and the image is ramrod straight and there is no crop problem.
