Photoshop Elements 2020 Mac does not open after after an app update

I haven't used the program for a while, when it opened last week it asked to update, after the update the program no longer opens, it gets as far as loading the workspace then quits and nothing happens. I did a complete uninstall, downloaded, reinstalled and the same thing happens. Premiere and Organizer work just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This still hasn't been resolved and I can't use my photo editor...

Well Adobe won't help me and the program doesn't work so that was a complete waste of money. I uninstalled it and I am now using a competing product without issue. That's the last tine I buy an Adobe product...
