A few years ago I bought Photoshop Elements 6. I have it installed on my laptop, but I have just bought a new laptop that has no CD drive. How can I install Photoshop 6 on my new laptop; the new laptop runs on Windows 10.

Try to copy the CD to a thumb drive on your old laptop, then install via USB on the new machine. It is problematic that PSEv.6 will function properly on a modern operating system, but give it a shot.

There are no download links for Elements 6. Version 7 is the earliest available.

To reinstall Elements 6 you’ll need to use your original disc with an external DVD drive. You'll also need your Elements 6 serial number.

Bear in mind that Elements 6 is very old software, not designed for Windows 10. The current version Elements 2019 is designed to work on Windows 10 and is supported by Adobe.

kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2596028 to download program installers

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore
