Photoshop Elements 9.0 fails to update to version 9.03

Photoshop Elements 9.0 fails to update to version 9.03. This is with the built in Adobe Application Updater. I searched the internet and found links to directly download the two needed updates but one the like to update the Photoshop Camera RAW to 6.5 was available to download and installed. The link to the Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 patch to upgrade was missing.

Now the updater application does doenload something for the patch to 9.0.3 but it fails to run it. If anyone knows what the app is downloading that 9.0.3 patch too I probably could copy it and manually run the patch.

Does anyone know where to get this PSE 9.0.3 patch file?

Thanks.

Just saying, ors1978 recently updated 9.0 to 9.03 following the link provided in this post without any problems.  All things being equal, it's possible that your machine needs some tidying up.

That version is a decade old.  Updates are no longer provided.

That's not true of course as the Adobe Application Update app downloads both patch files needed. That's why I asked where the patch files were downloaded to as they are still available.

I suppose I will install Wireshark so I can watch traffic and see from where that app is downloading those patch files from & download directly from there.

Or I can use Very Sleepy to monitor the file system writes of the app to see where it is saving those patch files.

And just yesterday Adobe Support directly helped me to download the main Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 Application Installer files. It's supported or I couldn't have got those files.

Thanks. No. my computer is fine. No full disk or bizarre inherited permission sets from Windows directory entries.

I saw that link eariler & while I followed to rest of it and it failed for the PSE 9 path but not the Camera RAW patch I ignored the archive.org as there inks are typically broken for old SW like that; but what do you know it's there and it works if it scans OK I will use it.

It scans clean & the computer I use PSE 9 on is offline from the internet so even if the scan missed something it's now going to hurt much.

Patch is installed and working.

Elements 9 is slow even on a 2011 i7 4 core laptop so what I really want is Elements 2020 and Premeire 2020 but that will have to wait til after I finish building a new PC.

Thanks.

Phinny, the link you provided goes to web.archive.org, not to Adobe servers.  There may be some risk in that!

On the advice of Jeff_Arola, if it were me, I'd proceed directly to the web.archive download site without concern.  On the other hand, for anyone concerned by his suggestion, please also note the advice offered by Greg_S in the same post.

I was actually 'Like'-ing to say thanks not to show the correct answer as far as what I did which was Greg_S's answer. Sorry about the confusion.
