I pay monthly for Lightroom & Photoshop but I'm really struggling to get my head round using the full photoshop cc software- can I use Elements within that for no extra cost or do I have do buy another program?? Thanks

I'm pretty sure you'll have to buy another program. One of the specific aspects of Elements is that you can obtain it without having to bother with a subscription model. Still, you should be able to confirm this for yourself because your Adobe profile should have an exact overview of your subscription(s) and the software they provide: https://account.adobe.com/plans
