PSE2020: Update inactivated

Hi,
we cannot update our PSE2020, unless a message shows up with "update is inactivated. ask your administrator". Anyone any idea how to activate updates in PSE2020???

Please check the below locations as per the OS platform that you are using:

1) Windows:  C:\Program files(x86)\common files\adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0\

2) macOS : <Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/

 

On the above locations, if you see a file named 'AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat', Please save a copy of this file on your machine and delete it from the above locations. This should resolve the issue.

 

Please let me know in case if the issue is still not resolv

Hi,

 

Is your machine owned by an enterprise? In case if the machine is managed by an administrator - Please contact your administrator to grant the permissions to update the application.

Hi,

 

I have the same prob. When I opened the folder /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/ it was empty. I have adminrights on my Mac.

 

Any idea?
