Hi all,

is there any possibility to rescan a folder after moving, deleting, renaming and copying pictures?

I tried to right-click and "import media" on the respective folder, but I often run into an error "file not found" ors imilar, because old files keep in the database.

Regards and keep in good health,

It look like you are correctly moving, deleting and renaming picture files from the organizer.

So, what you are seing is normal.

The downloader scans again your chosen folder and most of the time it will find no new (not catalogued) files. The message says 'No files found...' which means either:

- there is nothing new in the folder = all the files are already managed (indexed) in the catalog

- new files are not supported (non image formats) or corrupted.

Re-scanning can be used instead of the watched folder service to find new files.

To be honest: I movel, renamed, deleted and created pictures in the filemanger or with xnview. A Photoshop Elements seems to have difficulties with this. II always run on an "file-not-found"-error. The file ist still in the database but not on the disk. This leeds to a long lasting search on the disk with no result. On the other hand new files in the respective folders are not found.

How can I make a complete rescan of a folder and its subfolders?
