Is it possible to show all photos where a certain person (or place for that matter) is NOT tagged? That would make it much easier to manually check where the automatic face recognition failed.
If all photos where John Doe is not tagged is shown - and he shows up anyway - it can be corrected. To show photos that is not tagged at all would not help.

I use PSE 2018. In the organizer click on the right hand side TAGS panel, scroll down to the PEOPLE tab, right click on the person you do not want in the search and click on "Exclude from search"

I used to make it the same way, as you suggested, working very well. But:
Now, that a lot of pictures are tagged, but not all, there are a lot of members in the "Family" and in the "Friends" group. So, when it comes to finding the pictures, that the pople recognition did not tag, and this is, unfortunately, quite a few (not even recognized that there is a face on, but it is), it is way more convenient to select "exclude from search" for the complete people group. Unfortunately, nothing happens then.
When I select the individual members of the group, all works as intended, but it is a hassle. Excluding the group does not seem to have any impact. Any hints on what to do here?

If there are no direct hints, it is useful to know whether this behaviour occurs also with others users / everyone. So is there anybody who can successfully use the function "exclude from search" on a group of people, not the individual members?
