Sorry to bother you with this - but has anyone found a way to skip the annoying Welcome Screen in Photoshop Elements 20? My laptop is quite old, and it takes already a minute to bring up this welcome screen. Then I have to wait another two minutes for the Workspace to open. I cannot find a likely setting in the options though. Grrr!

A good tip is to have a look at the "similar posts" on the right of this display:
In your personal case, you should start with creating the desktop shortcuts for both the editor and the organizer as described in those discussions.
There are two other questions in your case:
1 - You say you have an old laptop: PSE2020 can run on a computer with 4 GB, but the minimum realistic RAM size is 8 GB, as "recommended" in the system requirements.
2 - Even with a comfortable computer and RAM, a number of automatic features are slowing your computer heavily. So, to get an idea, start by disabling "auto creations" and all "smart" background tasks like face recognition. Particularly look at the preferences for media analysis in the organizer and disable them all to start with.
You can give an idea of your hardware and OS by copying and pasting the first 20 lines of the report you get by clicking on the Help >> System information in the editor.
