Update ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) in PSE 9

I have Photoshop Elements 9 installed in my old PC.

Can I update the ACR and how exactly is it done?

It’s not possible to update older software. Consider converting to DNG

DNG Converter is free. You can batch convert a whole folder of Raw images into Adobe raw (DNG) without any loss of quality and the dng files will be backward compatible with your software

What version of windows are you using?

What camera do you have?

I believe camera raw 6.5 is the newest version for pse 9.

If in the photoshop elements 9 editor you go Help>About Plug-in and click Camera Raw you can see the version.

PSE9 is too old to support the raw files from those camera models. Try ORF to DNG conversion or consider buying PSE 2020.
