One of the Windows system requirements for PSE is

  • 7.3GB of available hard-disk space to install applications; additional 3GB to download all optional content; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices).

What is this Optional Content?

Optional Content is, for example, the Frames, Backgrounds and Graphics under Window>Graphics.

The thumbnails have blue triangles in the upper right corner to signify they will be downloaded when clicked.

Thanks for the answer Jeff! That's what I thought but wasn't sure. Is it possible to bulk download these items rather than one at a time? I've got plenty of disk space.

Nope, I've spent quite a bit of time looking for a way to do it.  I have a super slow dsl connection... when I'm bored I just click on a frame, wait. click on another.... it's a one time download for each.
