Which version of Elements?

Im trying to purchase one Elements version that will work on two computers; One is an '09 macbook pro running El Capitan( ver. 10.11) and the other is a 2016 imac running Catalina. Specs say the laptop will take Elements 2018 - can I use same download for the imac running Catalina? And, can I actually download it twice? Thanks

You will not be able to purchase Elements 2018 from Adobe.  You may be able to find it on eBay or other sites but be careful because there are a lot of scammers out there. 

Elements 2020 will only run on Catalina.

You will be able to install any version of Elements on two computers, even if they are running different versions of the OS.

To emphasise: you cannot run a version older than 2020 on Catalina. And you cannot run 2020 on your old system. You would need two purchases.
