Borders on photos without Cropping

Hello, Can anyone help me to confirm whether is possible to add a border to a photo without cropping it?

It is quite a simple feature on VSCO where you decide the size of the border and the app would adjust the photo (modify its size). But even if trying on PS Express, I cannot see a way to expand canvas to add the border afterwards

This is PS Express for my iPhone on the latest iOS to date.

Thank you

Yes, it's possible to add a border to a photo without cropping it using various image editing tools, including Photoshop Express. In Photoshop Express, you can expand the canvas to create a border around your photo. Here's how you can do it:

1. Open your photo in Photoshop Express.
2. Go to the "Crop" tool.
3. Select "Expand Canvas" or "Add Border."
4. Choose the size and color of the border.
5. Apply the changes to add the border to your photo.

This way, you can enhance your image with a border without cropping it.

Remember I am using iOS PS Express (for iPhone). I cannot see anbywhere "expand canvas". I don't see on the cropping section adding border either. That is a separate section but again, that crops the photo.

Can you clarify please where is that on that version for iPhone?

I am attaching the options I see.

Thanks

Hi @DanyLaP ,

We are sorry for your difficulties. Please help us to know the Photoshop Express application version and iOS version. Also, please record the workflow of your issue while using the cropping feature and share it with us through feedback email in the application itself. Our engineering team will be able to get the details through it, and we will keep you posted with the updates on it.

We are here to help you and hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you,

Neelam

Hi Neelamk.

PS Express 23.42.1

iOS 17.0.3

It is an iPhone 14 Pro

I cannot recreate the issue beacause... well I do not think it is an issue. It's a functionality that does not exist (I am quite sure). I want to add a border without having to crop the photo. Currently I have to use the app "InFrame" for this. But it is not exactly proportional so I have to check "by eye" if it is.

Thank you

I'm having the same troubles. These options don't appear on Photoshop Express that's installed on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. If I want to add a border/frame to a photo I can only add within the borders of the photo I took, covering parts of the image that I carefully composed. Other applications have options to add a border/frame that extends past the original frame of the photograph. If this isn't currently supported in Photoshop Express, it should be.

Hi @DanyLaP and @photoman12001 ,

Thank you for reaching us. Do you see different border types in Photoshop Express, like Basic, Edges, frames, etc? You can select borders of the kind available, and as per your requirement, which fits your image, you can choose.

Please let me know if this helps you. We are here to help you.

Thank you,

Neelam

I'm having the same issue. Your response completely fails to address the questions that were put to you. We want to put a border around the edges of the photo....not covering any portion of the original photo! The available borders all cover a portion of the original photo when applied.  Please address the specific questions you were asked. Thank you!
